DESCRIPTION:We are excited to invite you to the 3rd Annual Bright Futures Campaign\, benefiting Palmer Drug Abuse Program (PDAP). The event will take place virtually October 16\, 2020 from 12:00pm – 12:40pm. We are honored to have Kate and Jim Lykes of Houston as chairs and giving the keynote message\, alongside Lauren Anderson of the Houston Ballet as master of ceremonies. \nEach and every day\, we honor our commitment to provide young people and their families with free\, ongoing access to recovery support. The arrival of COVID-19 has presented new and extraordinary challenges especially for those who make up our supported peer groups. Their need for peer connection\, a sense of safety\, and structured recovery support has deepened during this prolonged interruption of our in-person programs. PDAP now faces the unique challenge of meeting these heightened needs in a virtual setting. \nOur commitment and approach are based on the premise that “together\, we can” save lives\, restore futures\, and help families to recover from the devastating impact of substance abuse. We believe that the gift of lasting recovery belongs to everyone; no one who suffers and seeks help should have to choose between their finances and their well-being.
